Gum disease is a very serious and dangerous dental problem that our Dakota Ridge Dental team strongly recommends avoiding at all costs. However, oftentimes the disease sneaks into our oral cavities and takes over our smiles. So, to help you identify the signs of gum disease, Dr. Stephanie S. Karlin & Justin S. Petracek and our caring dental team recommend that you look out for the following symptoms:

· Swollen, red, or tender gums
· Gums that bleed easily, especially when you brush your teeth or eat food
· Gums that pull away from the teeth and create pockets
· Persistent bad breath or a constant bad taste in the mouth
· Permanent teeth that are loose or shifting out of place
· A change in the way your teeth fit together when you bite down
· A change in the way your dentures fit in your mouth

If you notice any of these signs, please call 303.933.2420 today and schedule an appointment as soon as possible. The sooner you meet with us, the better off your smile will be. If you have any questions or if you would like to know how to prevent this horrific disease, please remember that you can always call our office and talk to our caring dental team. We are here to help you in any way we can!
