Do you ever get worried about the millions of germs that live on your toothbrush? If so, our Dakota Ridge Dental team has some tips for you! There are many things you can do to keep your toothbrush in tip-top shape, and those things are:

-Wash your hands with soap and warm water before and after you brush your teeth.

-After brushing, rinse your brush with warm water and store it in a place where it can air dry.

-Don’t cover your toothbrush bristles until they are completely dry.

-Only brush your teeth with a dry toothbrush.

-Don’t share your toothbrush, and don’t store your toothbrush in a place where it can touch other toothbrush bristles and spread germs.

-Replace your toothbrush every three to four months and after you’ve been sick.

-If one of your family members is sick, make sure they use a separate tube of toothpaste so they don’t spread their sickness to anyone else.
